We do not require accounts and do not ask for personal information to browse the archive or download wallpapers. Wallpapers are generated entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to, or stored on, our server.
We set no cookies of any kind — no analytics, third-party, or advertising cookies — and we store nothing in your browser's local storage. Your current view and selected color are kept in the page URL only, so nothing about your visit persists once you close the tab.
To rank colors and platforms by popularity we count three anonymous actions: copying a color, downloading a wallpaper, and opening a platform page. Each sends only the color value and the platform name — no identifier, no cookie, no profile. Counts are added straight into running totals; individual events are never stored, so they cannot be traced back to a visit or linked across sites.
To stop these tallies being flooded, we rate-limit them — without storing your address anywhere. Your address is first shortened to a network prefix (IPv4 to /24, IPv6 to /64), then combined with a random value and converted into a one-way hash, which serves purely as a counting slot held in memory. Nothing about this reaches disk: we replace the random value every day, which discards every slot, and the hash cannot be turned back into an address.
Our web server keeps two logs. The access log records the time, the page requested, the response status, the referring page and your browser's user-agent, with your IP address truncated before it is written (IPv4 to /24, IPv6 to /64); requests to the counting endpoint are not logged at all. The error log records failed requests — chiefly broken links — and does include the full IP address, which we need in order to find and fix them. Access logs are deleted after 14 days, error logs after 7.
We process the above on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing and repairing the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). There is no other purpose: nothing here is used for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
The site runs on a single rented virtual server in Nuremberg, Germany, provided by netcup GmbH, which acts as a processor on our behalf. Log files and popularity totals stay on that server and are not shared with or sold to anyone. We embed no third-party content — no fonts, scripts, images or trackers load from other domains — so no data reaches a third party unless you click an outbound link, after which that site's own privacy policy applies.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Because we hold no accounts and no records that identify you, there is in practice almost nothing to export or erase. You may contact us at any time, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
