Set a solid color on a modern OS

1. 1Open Settings → Personalization → Background.
2. 2Set “Personalize your background” to Solid color.
3. 3Click a swatch, or choose Custom color and paste your hex.

3. 3Pick a swatch or click Custom color for an exact hex.

1. 1Open System Settings → Wallpaper.
2. 2Scroll to Colors and pick a shade, or click the + for a custom color.
3. 3Enter your hex in the color picker (RGB / hex tab).

1. 1GNOME hides the solid-color option, so use the terminal.
2. 2Paste the commands below, swapping in your hex.

1. 1Right-click the desktop → Configure Desktop and Wallpaper.
2. 2Set Wallpaper type to Plain Color.
3. 3Click the color box and enter your hex, then Apply.

1. 1Open Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper.
2. 2Tap Color at the top of the gallery.
3. 3Choose a hue, tap the swatch to fine-tune, then Set.

1. 1Save a solid-color image (download any hex as a PNG here).
2. 2Long-press the home screen → Wallpaper & style.
3. 3Pick the saved image from Gallery / Photos and apply.
