Solaris 9 was using CDE, configured with an embossed repeating logo pattern. So, using the color of this wallpaper is actually a bit of cheating, but it's the color I associate most with Solaris 9. All other colors are the solid color backdrops - technically images, but just plain colors and no patterns.
