Windows NT 3.1 through 3.51 (1993–1995) launched Microsoft's NT line: a 32-bit, hardware-portable operating system for workstations and servers, wearing the familiar Program Manager face of Windows 3.1. Across the whole 3.x series the default Windows Default scheme painted the desktop teal — the color the NT and 9x lines would carry for years — atop the same grid of basic swatches and named color schemes.
