Workbench 2.0 (1990) gave the Amiga desktop a complete visual overhaul, replacing the bold blue of the 1.x era with a restrained gray-and-blue '3D' look. Its new default palette — a neutral gray desktop, crisp black and white, and a soft steel blue for selections — set the tone for Workbench through the 3.x years.
