Windows 2.0

Windows 2.0 (1987) added overlapping windows and a more capable interface — and quietly retired its predecessor's dithered desktop. Where Windows 1.0 blended green and cyan into a shimmering shade the hardware couldn't name, 2.0 simply took the cyan (#57ffff) and painted the desktop with it directly.
